Our Treks

One need not travel to the Himalayas or the Andes to enjoy a great trek. Here in Switzerland, in the center of Europe, we offer a great trek. We have relatively unknown, well-preserved, natural surroundings that can be enjoyed inexpensively with the support of excellent facilities.

3 day trek in canton Glarus Alps

Day 1:
Start from Zurich main station and take the train to the canton Glarus and the village of Linthal - start the trek - this day is actually the most difficult day due to the dramatic change in altitude - we ascend about 900m from the valley to the mountain - on the way we'll see Swiss summer farms, farmers and cows - the target is the Clariden-Huette where we arrive in the afternoon - the hut is heated - we'll eat dinner and at 22.00 is light out.

Day 2:
Clariden to Fridolinshuette
A relatively easy day with changing views - beautiful flowering and enormous quantities of water - some of the water forms small lakes in the valleys and some of the water is flowing into waterfalls and all that accompanied by the sound of the bells of the cows. The Fridolin-Huette is located on the foot of an enormous Glacier where we'll spend the night.

Day 3:

If the weather allows we could get out of the hut without our equipment and climb on the Glacier, a short walk back to the hut to pick up the luggage and descent on a path to Tierfehd. During this day, which we'll be trekking mainly downhill, we'll arrive at a number of valleys, which lie at different altitudes backing the forest line. After a couple of hours in the forest we will arrive to Linthal for taking the train to Zurich.

Short tour to the cliff with an incredible view to the Linth Valley and the Alps of Canton Glarus.
